In the beginning of the game you will have to choose between one of three humanoid races, Humans, Dwarfs, or Elves. Each Race has it's own military units, it's own region of territory, and it's own buildings. All races share Research, Goods, and Spells. Throughout the game the various races will clash with each other as well as monstrous races, such as Goblins and Undead.
